Spokane Audubon program on moths

Spokane Audubon program on moths

Presentation by Dr. Chris Cosma on the importance of moths to healthy ecosystems, how many species are in decline due to habitat loss, pesticide use, climate change, and light pollution, plus how to help. Cosma is a conservation ecologist with the Conservation Biology Institute, specializing in pollinators in urban and agricultural landscapes. With over 160,000 species worldwide, moths are among the most diverse organisms on Earth, serving as essential nocturnal pollinators and critical food for birds, bats, and other wildlife.
