UW-GU Health Partnership Next Generation Medicine Lecture Presents The New Science of Weight Loss: From Brain Biology to GLP - 1S Featuring Ellen Schur, MD

Ellen Schur, MD, is professor of medicine at the University of Washington's Division of General Internal Medicine at Harborview Medical Center. A pioneer in obesity medicine and founder of the medical weight management program, she will explore how brain inflammation affects appetite and provide essential context on the revolutionary new class of weight-loss medications. Dr. Schur conducts research on brain regulation of appetite and also teaches and mentors medical students, physician fellows and graduate students in clinical research on obesity.
