James Kashork

James Kashork is excited to join Spokane Public Radio as Membership Director. As a long time SPR listener and sustaining member, he is excited to be part of this organization and looks forward to helping it grow. 

Most of his career has been in nonprofit leadership and affordable housing development, and a lot of that work came down to fundraising. What he learned along the way is that people give when they feel connected to the work. His job was usually to help supporters see how their investments make a difference. Public radio works the same way. The news and music you hear on SPR are here because listeners decided to make an investment in Spokane Public Radio. Every gift, big or small, is someone saying this station matters to them, and he is excited to keep that work going.

When he's not at the station, he is usually cooking, enjoying a glass of wine, or messing around with some new piece of tech. He and his wife have lived in Spokane for more than 23 years and raised their family here.
