Spokane Public Radio news intern Paul Behr

Paul Behr

News Intern

Paul is our news intern from Eastern Washington University, where he studies journalism and political science. Prior to EWU, Paul earned his associate degree in paralegal studies from Renton Technical College, in 2019. He recently interned with the Washington State Senate in Olympia as a constituent correspondent. Paul is a first generation; non-traditional college student and he takes pride in that. Upon graduating in June, Paul would like to see himself working as a legislative assistant in Olympia or working an entry level position at one of Spokane’s local news stations, with the aspiration of becoming a field reporter. As someone who loves the Pacific Northwest, he plans on calling Washington State home for many years to come. Paul is confident that his experience at SPR will better prepare him for either a career in journalism or in politics. He is both eager and excited to be a part of the SPR team for the next 10 weeks.
