Two Democrats Run To Replace WA's Lieutenant Governor

Rep. Denny Heck (D-Washington) is leaving Congress to run for Washington lieutenant governor.

Only one of the nine races for Washington statewide office is for an open seat. The incumbent, Democrat Cyrus Habib, is leaving office to study for the priesthood. He’ll be replaced by one of two Democrats, U-S Rep. Denny Heck or state Senator Marko Liias.
