From the Studio: "Rock of Ages" at The Modern Theater

Members of the upcoming show, "Rock of Ages," at The Modern Theater stopped by the studio to talk with Verne today as part of our musical theater double header (see Spokane Civic Theatre's "Catch Me If You Can, The Musical" post).  Singers Quinn Vaira, Brendan Brady, and Daniel McKeever performed with pianist and guitarist Zak Baker.  Under the direction of George Green, "Rock of Ages" opens this Friday, September 11th at 7:30pm and runs through October 10th at the Coeur d'Alene location.  Tickets available now.

Brendan Brady as Drew with other cast members

Verne Windham got his start at Spokane Public Radio 20 years ago. “I came in to complain and they hired me.” He’s now the Program Director, as well as the host of Morning Classical and Concert of the Week. When choosing music for Morning Classical, Verne likes to keep the agenda as broadly defined as possible. For Concert of the Week, he focuses on the best of recent local performances, mostly classical in nature. For many years, Verne was also the conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra. He enjoys gardening, his vintage car and playing French horn.
