From the Studio: Spokane Valley Summer Theatre Presents "Bring It On"

Another theater show is on the KPBX radar, and that show happens to be Spokane Valley Summer Theatre's rendition of Bring It On, The Musical. Verne had the pleasure of talking with Director Yvonne A.K. Johnson, as well as Music Director David Brewster, Amber Fiedler (playing Campbell), Emma Larson (playing Skyler), and Brittany Mendoza Pena (playing Danielle).  They gave us a preview of the show, which opens tomorrow, Thursday, August 18 and runs for one weekend only, ending on Sunday, August 21.

Verne Windham got his start at Spokane Public Radio 20 years ago. “I came in to complain and they hired me.” He’s now the Program Director, as well as the host of Morning Classical and Concert of the Week. When choosing music for Morning Classical, Verne likes to keep the agenda as broadly defined as possible. For Concert of the Week, he focuses on the best of recent local performances, mostly classical in nature. For many years, Verne was also the conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra. He enjoys gardening, his vintage car and playing French horn.
