Members of Lake City Playhouse stopped by the studio to talk about their current production, the Stephen Sondheim musical "Company."
On the night of his 35th birthday, Robert, a bachelor, struggles to think of a wish to make as he blows out his birthday candles. Surrounded by his married friends, should he wish for his own romantic partner, or be happy with the single life? Over a series of dinner parties, first dates, and thoughtful conversations, Robert attempts to understand the pros and cons of marriage. Director Callie McKinney-Cabe, Music Director and actor Chuck Ethridge (Larry), actors Jesse Hampsch (Robert) and Dan Bell (Harry), and pianist Jenny Twitchell give a preview of this wildly funny look at relationships, vulnerability, and “being alive.”
