From the Studio: Tales of the American

Spokane Public Radio

"Tales of the American" is a new exhibit and documentary film, now at the Spokane Falls Community College Fine Arts Gallery, about the lives of the artists and occupants of the historic American Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The film's writer and editor, Pamela Wilson, and director, Stephen Seemayer, visit the studio to talk about the history of the hotel itself, and the genesis and creation of the film and the accompanying art exhibit, which features the works of some of the artists who lived and worked at the hotel.

Stephen Seemayer and Pamela Wilson will present the film at 5 PM, Thursday, October 17, at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, as a part of the Visiting Artist Lecture Series. A presentation by the filmmakers will follow at 6:30 PM.

The accompanying exhibit in the SFCC Fine Arts Gallery can be viewed 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, through October 25.
