Midori, a Japanese-born American violinist, will perform works by Tchaikovsky and Schumann with the Gonzaga Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox.
She made her debut with the New York Philharmonic at age 11 as a surprise guest soloist at the New Year's Eve Gala in 1982. She has been a leading concert violinist for over 35 years, as well as a noted global cultural ambassador and a dedicated music educator.
