Inland Journal, Oct. 10, 2019: Spokane Mayoral Candidate Nadine Woodward

Nadine Woodward campaign

Today on the Inland Journal podcast, the second of two conversations with Spokane’s mayoral candidates. Steve Jackson interviews retired broadcaster Nadine Woodward.

Woodward retired earlier this year after 28 years in television news in Spokane, first at KREM, then at KXLY. Shortly after she retired, she announced her candidacy for mayor.

Woodward won a close primary race in August, taking 40% of the vote. Her opponent, City Council President Ben Stuckart had 38%. We talked with Stuckart on Wednesday’s Inland Journal podcast. You can hear that interview and this one on our website, SpokanePublicRadio.org. Go to the Regional News tab, then click on Election 2019.

On our next four podcasts, we’ll talk with Spokane Valley City Council candidates, beginning Friday with Lance Gudel.
