Some Spokane Schools, Universities Publish Covid Dashboards

The health agencies in Washington and Idaho have made public their Covid-related statistics for several months. Now, some of the school districts and universities in the region are posting their own Covid dashboards.

Spokane County Health Officer Bob Lutz approves.

“I do think it’s a nice means of providing parents in the community information about what’s happening within the school district," Lutz said. "Transparency is really important and the more that parents know what’s happening in their schools, the better.”

Central Valley has reported four confirmed cases in the last 14 days, including at Ponderosa Elementary and North Pines Middle Schools. Meadreports five cases in the last two weeks, including two at Mead High School.

The majority of Spokane area districts do not yet post online information about positive Covid tests within their schools.

Gonzaga, Whitworth and Eastern Washington Universities all have dashboards you can find with easy searching.
