From the Studio: Inland Northwest Opera's "La Traviata"

Cast and creative members of La Traviata visit the SPR studio for live song and discussion.

Director Dan Wallace Miller, conductor John Baril, soprano Raquel González, tenor Andrew Stenson and pianist Scott Rednour of Inland Northwest Opera joined E.J. Iannelli in SPR's large in-house studio space for a live interview and performances of "Libiamo" and "Un dì, felice, eterea" from La Traviata.

González and Stenson are playing lovers Violetta and Alfredo, respectively. Their romance is at the heart of this tragedy based on the 1852 play La Dame aux camélias by Alexandre Dumas. Miller is updating the traditional setting from mid-19th-century Paris to classic Hollywood.

INO is staging Giuseppe Verdi's classic opera at the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox in downtown Spokane on September 9 and 11, 2022.
