From the Studio: Bill Payne of Little Feat

Little Feat founding member chats about the Waiting for Columbus 45th Anniversary Tour

Bill Payne—keyboardist, vocalist and founding member of the genre-spanning jam band Little Feat—talked to E.J. Iannelli by phone ahead of the band's appearance at The Bing Crosby Theater on Tuesday, December 13.

The current six-member incarnation of Little Feat is in the final weeks of its Waiting for Columbus Tour, which celebrates the 45th Anniversary of that landmark live album.

Payne discussed how they approached the classic setlist as well as the musical legacy of former Little Feat members like Lowell George and Paul Barrére. He also offered a glimpse of what the band has planned for 2023.

Tickets for the Little Feat concert on Dec. 13, 2022 are available from The Bing Crosby Theater website.
