From the Studio: Christmas 2022 Flute Mini-recital II

Students from Colleen McElroy's flute studio play an assortment of holiday tunes

Colleen McElroy, second flute in the Spokane Symphony, came into the SPR performance space with nine students from her flute studio to perform a selection of holiday tunes.

McElroy's students range from beginners in elementary school to high-school flute players. Two groups of flute students played a total of eight pieces that included "God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen," "Away in a Manger," "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

This was the second of four mini-recitals to be featured this week on Spokane Public Radio as a celebration of the holiday season as well as local musical talent.
