Cellist Kevin Hekmatpanah and pianist Yoon-Wha Roh in the SPR performance space

Cellist, Spokane Symphony member and Gonzaga faculty Kevin Hekmatpanah and pianist and WSU faculty Yoon-Wha Roh came to visit the KPBX studio for conversation with Jim Tevenan and to play selections from their upcoming recital at the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The recital is Saturday, 7 January at 2pm and is a free event. (Tickets, while free, need to be reserved. Go to kroccda.org for details.) Repertoire for the recital includes the Sonata in A by César Franck and the Sonata in C by Benjamin Britten. The performance begins with a set of short pieces by Robert Schumann and concluides with the Grand Tango of Astor Piazzolla.
