Cellist Zuill Bailey and pianist Awadagin Pratt came to the KPBX studio today to talk with Jim Tevenan about the NWBachfest April concerts week. The two long-time collaborators perform this week at the Barrister Winery, a piano recital tonight by Pratt that features the monumental b minor piano sonata of Franz Liszt, then a cello and piano program on Tuesday, with music of Brahms and Beethoven. The conversation ranges across a range of topics, including how the two first met over a game of ping pong.
