Spokane Symphony Music Director James Lowe and speaker Kitara Johnson-Jones talk with Jim Tevenan about the Symphony's upcoming Masterworks program, "Daybreak of Freedom." The program includes Ludwig van Beethoven's Fidelio overture, Joseph Schwantner's New Morning for the World, featuring Ms. Johnson-Jones reciting the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, also William Dawson's Negro Folk Symphony. The Symphony Chorale, directed by Dr. Meg Stohlmann, also performs, singing Spiritual arrangements by William Dawson and Henry Burleigh.
