On February 22, 2023 staff and mentors from Spokane Community College hosted students from Stevens Elementary for the 13th annual Third Grade Poetry Slam.

For many of the third graders, the all-day event is one of their earliest experiences with writing and reciting poetry.

The theme of this year's poetry slam was "Be Brave."
