Irv Broughton is a professor in the English department at Spokane Falls Community College, where he has taught since 1976. He grew up in Massachusetts, with writing being a constant presence in his early life. He is the author of 30 books of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. His latest books include The Cape We Were: A Cape Cod Memoir and The Road Worth Taking: A Runner’s Reader.
