Bedtime Stories 2022: Jess Walter (Part 2 of 3)

The NYT bestselling author reads his short story as part of a Humanities WA event

On this episode of The Bookshelf, we bring you the second of three Washington writers who presented their original work at a recent Humanities WA fundraising event called Bedtime Stories.

This year's Bedtime Stories took place on October 21, 2022 at Riverside Place in downtown Spokane. It was a companion event to a Bedtime Stories in Seattle earlier that same month.

The featured writer in this episode is the New York Times bestselling author Jess Walter. He's reading a short story of his titled, "Second Date."

The theme of this year's Bedtime Stories was "Light in the Dark." Shaun O'L. Higgins hosted the event.

This particular episode concludes with a reading from The Bookshelf archives. It features Jess Walter reading two selections from his story collection We Live in Water.

More information about Bedtime Stories is available on the Humanities WA website.
