Buddhist New Year’s Eve Sale & Service

Buddhist New Year’s Eve Sale & Service

MOCHIFEST SALE & JOYA-E BUDDHIST SERVICE - NEW YEARS EVE (pronounced: Joy-ah-A)
Wednesday, December 31st, 4:00 – 7:30 PM

4:00-6:15 PM – MochiFest Sale
We are selling freshly made Traditional Mochi, Dessert Mochi, Inari Sushi, and a few special side dishes, plus a collection of Japanese Art and Items donated by our members.
6:30 PM – JOYA-E Buddhist Service
We will ring the large Konsho or “Calling Bell” 108 times, representing the 108 ways we get caught in stress, frustration and old habits that cause us suffering. Each strike of the bell invites us to recognize the burdens we carried this year and to release them. Everyone who comes gets to ring the Konsho. All are welcome, just as you are.
