Buddhist New Year’s Eve Sale & Service

A Buddhist New Year’s Eve gathering, with a Buddhist Service (6:30 pm), Japanese food and items for sale (4 – 6:15 pm) including dolls, prints, dishes and more!. Food: Traditional Plain Mochi, Mochi Desserts & Inari Sushi (all $8). The plain mochi is a special type of mochi eaten on New Year’s Day, as a symbol of good fortune, family, and the passage of time. Reservations required for the traditional mochi via email.

If you are looking for a spiritual way to end 2024, come to the Buddhist Joya-E “Bell of the Last Night” Service (6:30 pm) to Ring Out 2024! and Ring In 2025! This is a short, family-friendly Buddhist service, where attendees will be able to ring the large Kansho Bell, a portion of 108 times, to symbolically ring away the 108 passions which inflict people. Come and welcome in the New Year.
