Gonzaga Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony Concert, The Blue Marble

Gonzaga Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony Concert, The Blue Marble

This concert will feature a recent composition by composer Julie Giroux, titled “The Blue Marble.” This is her sixth symphony written for winds and percussion. It features an immersive experience with the Gonzaga University Wind Ensemble performing a three-movement work to a film also created by the composer. The film is projected in a three-screen format and utilizes surround sound for effects to complement the imagery. Please join us to hear this piece as well as other exciting works performed by the Gonzaga University Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble.
