Into the Words with WA Poet Laureate and Naturalist Derek Sheffield

Into the Words with WA Poet Laureate and Naturalist Derek Sheffield

Dishman Hills Conservancy is proud to sponsor Washington's Poet Laureate, Derek Sheffield. Sheffield, the author of “Not for Luck” and “Cascadia Field Guide”, is also a naturalist and his works emphasize woods, words, and wellness. Not only does he find inspiration from the natural world, but he finds it can be a reprieve from the stresses and disillusionment of modern life. Mr. Sheffield has taught writing at Wenatchee Valley College for over 20 years. Mr. Sheffield will be reading from his works and signing books.
