Obon – A Japanese Cultural Festival

Spokane Buddhist Temple’s Annual OBON FESTIVAL, a traditional Japanese Buddhist festival where we honor our ancestors, remember and appreciate all they have done for us, and celebrate their ongoing presence in our lives. It features traditional Japanese music, dancing, and food, where many dancers dress in Japanese kimono, yukata or happi coats. It takes place during the South Perry Street Fair. Come Dance With Us!

Schedule: 12-5pm - Temple Open House, 12-6pm - Japanese Food, 6 pm - Bon Odori Dancing. Menu (To Go): Japanese Peanut Noodle Salad Lunch ($12) & Mochi Dessert Bars ($6).
