Barrister Winery is hosting the work of 33 artists from the Little Spokane River Artist Studio Tour. The preview opening at Barrister will be First Friday, March 1, and the show then continues through March. All works are for sale at Barrister Winery or on the Little Spokane River Artist Studio Tour web site at Www.littlespokanestudios.com The Studio Tour will celebrate its 17th year on Saturday 28th 2024 in 4 different studios in the Little Spokane River Valley.

Trackside is featuring for the month of April a ceramics invitational that features local and regional ceramic faculty and students they have personally mentored in their role as educator. Included in this exhibit will be the following faculty: Lance Sinnema from Whitworth University, Mat Rude from Gonzaga University, Chris Tyllia from Eastern Washington State University, Tyber Newcomer from Spokane Falls Community College and Lolanna Palmer from Washington State University. Each of these faculty members have selected a student or students they are teaching to be included in the exhibit. Opening Reception is Friday, April 5th from 5 - 8 pm, Saturday, April 6th from noon - 4 pm. Exhibit continues through April with regular gallery hours Wednesday through Friday, 11 AM - 5 PM. “Sharing Stories: Empowering People” is the theme for The Fig Tree’s Gala 40th Anniversary Celebration, which will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, April 28, at the Cathedral of St. John, 127 E. 12th Ave. Karen Georgia Thompson, the first African-American woman to be president and general minister of the national United Church of Christ and a member of the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches, will be the featured speaker. When invited, she did not hesitate. She’s a Fig Tree reader. Tickets for the gala will be $50 and there is opportunity for guests to be event and archival project sponsors. The Gallery @ Entropy Call for Art - Expo '74's 50th Celebration Group Show
The Gallery @ Entropy is hosting an Expo ‘74 group show in conjunction with Spokane’s Expo ‘74 50th Anniversary Celebration. We encourage you to submit artwork in the spirit of Expo ‘74 Theme. Think beyond iconic imagery and landmarks like the Garbage Goat and Clocktower.
Submissions are now open. All mediums accepted. All submissions are due by May 6th, 2024 for consideration to be featured in the group exhibition that runs July 3-29.

Please go and check out the gallery to get a better sense of your work in the space. Please note: There is no elevator to the upstairs gallery space on the 2nd level, the only route is up a small spiral staircase.Submission Criteria:Submit up to 3 works that you would like to show at The Gallery. Each can include one detail photo (up to 6 photos in total). 2D and 3D works accepted: all art must be hung on the walls, no deeper than 11 inches.Content of artwork is open, nudity ok, but nothing explicit. Must be on theme: “Expo 74’s 50th Celebration”.Submit a paragraph detailing how your piece(s) connect to the theme. Size restriction: all pieces must be 3ft x 3ft or smaller. All work must be ready to hang on install day. Transport, any applicable insurance, and sales/taxes are the responsibility of the featured artists. Artists must be able to deliver all art to The Gallery @ Entropy on July 1st between 12pm and 6pm. Art will be installed by the curators. Artist reception on First Friday, July 5, 2024 from 5-9pm. 100% of every sale goes to the artist, no submission fee. All art subject to evaluation/approval.
