Dr. Douglas A. Vakoch is president of METI International, a research organization that transmits powerful radio signals to nearby stars to make first contact with extraterrestrial civilizations. Prior to founding METI International in 2015, for 16 years Vakoch was Director of Interstellar Message Composition at the SETI Institute.

Dr. Vakoch is visiting to consult about ongoing research at the Laboratory for New Phenomenology in the School of Psychology at Eastern Washington University, which are both hosting this event free to the general public. Dr. Vakoch and METI International want to hear what you'd like to say!
