Spokane Folklore Society Contra Dance

The Spokane Folklore Society hosts its 1st Wednesday contra dance on January 7 at the Woman's Club Hall on the South Hill of Spokane beginning at 7:15PM with a newcomer session followed by a two hour dance starting at 7:30PM. Susan Dankovich and Karen Wilson Bell will call easy to learn dances. Remember every dance is walked through before the live music begins and the callers begin prompting. The music is provided by an all volunteer group of musicians consisting of fiddlers, mandolin players, guitarists and a piano player. All are welcome. Singles and couples. No partner is necessary. Dress is informal. General admission is $10 and SFS Members and college students $7. Kids are free. For more information, www.spokanefolklore.org.
