Jim Zimpel, Associate Dean of the College of Arts & Architecture and an Associate Professor of Sculpture + Extended Media at Montana State University in Bozeman presents a visual art exhibition in the discipline of Sculpture at the SFCC Fine Art Gallery. Zimpel states, “My work constructs factual and imaginary entry points and rituals-they are the means to process, explore and understand things that are actually, or perceived as, inaccessible.”
For the month of October, the Liberty Gallery features the extraordinary craftsmanship and vision of Dave Gonzo in a show titled “Gaia’s Beauty”. This exhibition showcases Dave's innovative approach to metal work, where different alloys are manipulated into creative and stunning, three-dimensional sculptures that resemble the beauty of which Mother Earth (Gaia) births. Each piece invites visual exploration, revealing a variety of metals and delicate details within the unique world of inorganic elements melded with the breathtaking forms of nature.

Pottery Place Plus presents painter Autumn Cole as our Guest Artist for the month of October. Autumn specializes in black and white acrylic realism paintings of local places, along with prints and greeting cards.

Residents of Northwest Spokane and District 3 are invited to a town hall presentation about Together Spokane. Spokane Public Schools superintendent Dr. Adam Swinyard and Spokane Parks and Recreation director Garrett Jones will share information about the joint initiative to improve schools, parks, and neighborhoods.
Proposed projects in Northwest Spokane include a new Madison Elementary School co-located with an Indoor Public Recreation Center, Merkel Sports Complex expansion, new Indoor Tennis Center, and a new Meadowglen Park, among others.
Together Spokane aligns an SPS bond and Parks levy that will be presented to voters on Nov. 4, 2025. All are welcome to attend this town hall or another event that fits their schedule. A recording of the presentation will be available after the event.

The North Idaho College Music Department Presents: Fall Choral Invitational Festival Concert

This interactive installation features poetry from people on their healing journey after domestic violence paired with artwork by local artists. At each of the 15 stations that are displayed along a scenic walking path, you’ll find conversation prompts designed to spark meaningful dialogue about what healthy and unhealthy relationships can look like.
