Description: This is a solo exhibition featuring photographs by Gen Heywood, a Spokane based photographer and artist.

“Fine Art Photography has become one of the most important of my tools for communicating our common humanity. It is a device to gather people of different ideologies into a shared experience that can reveal how we share more than that which separates us. Watching people experience “The Pledge of Allegiance” exhibit affirms that fine art photography can surprise the viewer. It invites people into conversations with the art and with one another”.

NEW this year - Merri Minis @ the JACC! Art show and sale will open Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2 at the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center (JACC) in Post Falls. Featuring 20 local artists exhibiting and selling their work, offering a selection of small, affordable art items, just in time for holiday shopping! No charge to attend. The show and sale will remain open November and December during regular business hours of the JACC. First Friday at The Gallery at Entropy, featuring a collaboration of local artists Jill Kyong and Ava Rummler's But I'm Still Illuminated exhibition. Artist Reception First Friday, November 1st, from 5-9pm. Exhibition runs November 1-December 2.

GALIMATIAS is a collection of prints that reflects Reinaldo's experiences as a father and provider. It is inspired by daily family walks in Spokane, where he observes his surroundings and transforms the random imagery in his head into visual narratives infused with dark humor and irony.

The artwork reflects the realities of Reinaldo's life and his process of learning to "let go" and accept the uncontrollable aspects of living. This concept of letting go is also present in the technical process of reduction relief printing, which Reinaldo uses to enrich the illustrations he creates. He challenges himself to develop large-scale "Suicide Blocks" and small lithographs, using found MDF, cultural archetypes, repetition in both the printing process and the composition patterns, and the absence or presence of color. GALIMATIAS is an experimental exploration of playful image-making, inviting viewers to find beauty in the challenges we can't control.
New boost

One of a kind coasters have been created by local artists and are on exhibit in the gallery. The coasters sell for $10 each and all funds go to Peace and Justice Action League of Spokane. Doors open at 5 pm.

Join us for the 3rd annual Friday Soiree. Meet the artist while they work on quick finish art demonstrations. Artwork finished at the Friday Soiree will be available for bid the following night at our 17th Annual Artist Showcase Auction and Gala. The Friday Soiree also serves as an auction preview and opportunity to place absentee bids if unable to attend the following night. There will be live music, light bites and a no host bar.

Through a blend of artistic expression, scientific exploration, and forensic scrutiny, it seeks to inspire both individual introspection and collective action towards a more unified and equitable society.
