All Ages · Come on out to support Blitz & Blunders and Spark Central! Blitz & Blunders is hosting a community chess event at Manito Park's North Shelter. This is your open invitation to play a game, join a lesson, and purchase merchandise. All skill levels are welcome, and funds from this event will go toward supporting free Monday chess nights around Spokane, and Spark Central's mission to spark creativity for all.
Blitz & Blunders is teaming up with Spark Central to bring free, high-energy chess events to the community. Spark Central empowers youth, adults, and underserved groups through creativity, tech, and education. Together, we’re building a space where minds meet, creativity thrives, and everyone has a chance to grow through play.
The event will include free casual chess games for all ages and skill levels, along with mini tournaments and side matches for prizes. Coffee and Matcha will be available to purchase from Kapè Cha.

The Bonner County Historical Society and Museum is hosting a Yard Sale on September 6th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.at Lakeview Park in Sandpoint! We are taking donations from August 24th to September 4th. We do ask that you do not donate clothing items and anything that the thrift stores wouldn't accept. All proceeds support the museum. We're excited to see what you dig up from your attics!
