ReporterBorn in Massachusetts, raised in Washington, and educated at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, Audrey Nelson is a lifelong public radio nerd. She worked as a freelance reporter in Seattle before moving to Spokane in 2026. Her work has been featured on KNKX Public Radio, Vox Media’s Today, Explained, and BBC World Service’s The Food Chain.
