Audrey Nelson

Born in Massachusetts, raised in Washington, and educated at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, Audrey Nelson is a lifelong public radio nerd. She worked as a freelance reporter in Seattle before moving to Spokane in 2026. Her work has been featured on KNKX Public Radio, Vox Media’s Today, Explained, and BBC World Service’s The Food Chain. When not reporting, Audrey enjoys playing basketball, writing fiction, and collecting dangly earrings.
