Inland Journal, July 1, 2019: Spokane City Council Candidate Andy Rathbun

Andy Rathbun

Today on the Inland Journal podcast, the next in our series of conversations with candidates running for Spokane city council in the Northwest district. We’ve heard from the incumbent, Karen Stratton, and from challengers Christopher Savage and Jeff Martin. Today, we talk with Andy Rathbun. Rathbun originally filed to run for mayor, but changed his mind and decided to seek a council seat instead.

Tomorrow, we’ll finish our interviews with the candidates in that race. We’ll talk with Jeff Rugan. The sixth candidate, Ken Side, has not returned our calls for an interview.

Our full interviews with the candidates for Spokane city office are available for listening anytime on the Spokane Public Radio website. We’re adding one interview a day. You can click on the regional news tab and then click on Election 2019, or go to the Inland Journal page. Or you can get them by subscribing to the Inland Journal podcast in Apple podcasts, NPR One or Google Play.
