Inland Journal, July 2, 2019: Spokane City Council Candidate Jeff Rugan

Jeff Rugan

Today on the Inland Journal podcast, the last in our series of conversations with candidates running for Spokane city council in the Northwest district. We’ve heard from the incumbent, Karen Stratton, and from three of her challengers. Today, we meet with a fourth challenger, Jeff Rugan. [The fifth challenger, Ken Side, hasn't returned our requests for an interview.] Rugan helps to place people into jobs as an account manager at Express Employment in downtown Spokane.

On tomorrow’s podcast, Steve Jackson will interview Spokane firefighter Shawn Poole, one of five candidates for mayor. Then on Friday, he’ll interview Nadine Woodward, our final mayoral candidate interview.

Our full interviews with the candidates are available for listening anytime on the Spokane Public Radio website. We’re adding one interview a day. Click on the regional news tab and then on Election 2019, or go to the Inland Journal page. You can get them by subscribing to the Inland Journal podcast in Apple podcasts, NPR One or Google Play.
