Spokane County Sets Covid Record On Sunday

Courtesy of Spokane Regional Health District

Spokane County reported a record 98 confirmed Covid cases on Sunday. That’s 17 more than the previous mark, set earlier last week.

The 20-to-29 age group continues to be the leader in the demographic count with more than a quarter of the county’s 1,668 cases.

The number of county residents in the hospital has more or less stabilized. Health officials reported 17 receiving care on Sunday.

The health district this week will hold the first in a series of curbside testing sites with three two-hour clinics at Holmes School on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The hours each day are 11-to-1. The sites are meant for people who don’t have medical insurance or whose insurance doesn’t cover the costs of testing. The tests will be administered for free. You’re asked to come early, the tests are first come-first served, to park and wait for an attendant to approach you and to wear a mask.
