Spokane County’s Covid situation jumped from worrisome to something much worse over the weekend.
The Spokane Regional Health District reported 712 cases for the last three days, including the weekend. That included 202 new cases reported for Monday, which would have been a one-day record, overturning the previous mark set on Thursday.
But it’s well short of the 348 cases reported on Saturday. And then there were another 162 cases for Sunday.
The figures released Monday also show two more people have passed away from Covid and 10 more people admitted to the hospitals for it. It means 56 Spokane County residents are currently receiving treatment and 73 overall.
