Two Spokane County Commissioners Win Re-Election

Courtesy of Josh Kerns

Two Spokane County Commissioners appear to be on their way to re-election.

Republicans Josh Kerns and Mary Kuney are leading their respective races against Democrats Ted Cummings and David Green.

Kerns is in the tighter race, though he has 56% of the vote.

“I think the reasons our numbers are so strong is that the voters of Spokane County wanted commissioners that are committed to fiscal responsibility, for transparency in government and to having a commitment to getting our economy safely started," Kerns said.

Kuney won 58% of the vote.

If both win, the commission seats would continue to be held exclusively by Republicans.
