From the Studio: Spokane Civic Theatre Presents "York"

Today's second theater interview featured the team from Spokane Civic Theatre putting on York a show originally produced by the team at Modern Theater.  Verne talked with director Susan Hardie, playwright Bryan Harnetiaux, and actor David Casteal.

As stated on their website, "Produced by the team at The Modern Theater in commemoration of Black History Month, Spokane Civic Theatre is honored to once again host York for this special two-date engagement in the Firth J. Chew Studio Theatre."

Performances of this one-man show are two days only: Saturday, February 27th at 2:30pm and 7:30pm and Sunday, February 28th at 2:00pm.

Verne Windham got his start at Spokane Public Radio 20 years ago. “I came in to complain and they hired me.” He’s now the Program Director, as well as the host of Morning Classical and Concert of the Week. When choosing music for Morning Classical, Verne likes to keep the agenda as broadly defined as possible. For Concert of the Week, he focuses on the best of recent local performances, mostly classical in nature. For many years, Verne was also the conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra. He enjoys gardening, his vintage car and playing French horn.
