R. Cassandra Bruner recieved her MFA from Eastern Washington University. A finalist for Black Warrior Review’s 2018 Nonfiction Contest, her poems and essays have appeared in, or are forthcoming from, The Adroit Journal, Black Warrior Review, Crazyhorse, Indiana Review, Muzzle, New England Review, Ninth Letter, Pleiades, and elsewhere. Winner of the 2019 Frost Place competition, her chapbook, The Wishbone Dress, is forthcoming from Bull City Press. Beginning fall 2019, she will be the Jay C. and Ruth Halls Poetry Fellow at the University of Wisconson-Madison.
