Spokesman-Review Summer Stories Part 3

This episode features two Summer Stories: “Good Little Mice” by Sharma Shields and “Eat, Drink, and Be Merry” by Sherry Jones.

Now in its sixth year, the Spokesman-Review's “Summer Stories" project publishes a series of short fiction pieces written by local authors, all centered around a particular theme. This year’s theme is “Summer of ’69,” marking the 50th anniversary of that momentous summer.

You can find each week’s Summer Story in the Sunday edition of the Spokesman-Review, or at Spokesman.com. And, coming up on August 14th, The Spokesman’s Northwest Passages Book Club is hosting a Summer Stories event at the Montvale Event Center 6 p.m. Details and ticket information at Spokesman.com.

Chris Maccini previously worked at SPR as Morning Edition host and producing arts and special programming such as The Bookshelf, Poetry Moment, Northwest Arts Review, special features and more.
