Abigail Rockwell, Norman Rockwell's granddaughter, visits the studio in advance of an evening at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture in conjunction with the "Rockwell's America" exhibition. Ms. Rockwell discusses "My Adventures as an Illustrator: The Definitive Edition," which restores the original text and illustrations of her grandfather's autobiography, co-written with her father, Tom Rockwell.
Also visiting the studio is Karen Warrick, daughter of Don Lindsay of Spokane's historic Lincoln Savings Bank, who originally commissioned Norman Rockwell's portrait of Abraham Lincoln for the bank's lobby. The painting returns to Spokane in the current exhibition.
"An Evening with Abigail Rockwell" will take place at 5:30 PM, Thursday, November 7th. For tickets and more information, visit https://www.northwestmuseum.org/.
