Inland Journal, July 15, 2019: Spokane City Council President Candidate Mike Fagan

Mike Fagan

Today on the Inland Journal podcast, we finish our Spokane city candidate interviews. Steve Jackson talks with one final candidate for Spokane city council president. Mike Fagan is near the end of his second term on the council as a representative from the Northeast district. In addition to his council duties, Fagan is co-director of a political action committee that advocates for lower taxes and hosts a radio talk show.

We’ve now posted all 24 of our full interviews with the candidates for mayor, council president and city council on the Spokane Public Radio website. Click on the regional news tab and then on Election 2019, or go to the Inland Journal page. You can subscribe to the Inland Journal podcast in Apple podcasts, NPR One or Google Play.

On Tuesday’s podcast, one more election issue: the Spokane County Library District levy that voters in much of the unincorporated part of the county will decide. We’ll talk about that with the district’s executive director, Patrick Roewe.
