Grant Erickson from IntelliTect and former Google Cloud executive Bill Kalivas talk about artificial intelligence and its role in Spokane's economy.

This week on Inland Journal, we talk with Spokane entrepreneur Bill Kalivas and IntelliTect CEO Grant Erickson.

Kalivas has been involved with tech start up firms. He’s worked with some of the most well-known companies and been involved with artificial intelligence for many years. He and Erickson, our partner in a series of AI discussions, discuss the evolution of the technology and how today’s businesses should approach it. Is it a tool they should eagerly adopt? Is it better to stay back and wait to see how it evolves? Or is there a middle ground? And how should the Inland Northwest business community position itself with regard to AI?

Other Inland Journal programs looked at how AI is used in industrial settings (Grant Erickson and John Shovic at the University of Idaho in Coeur d'Alene) and what are its best applications (Grant Erickson and Graham Morehead from Pangeon and Gonzaga University).
