Actors and director talk about their new production of the junior Disney musical

Ahead of a new production of Disney's Frozen, Jr. by CDA ACT (Celebrating Different Abilities through Art & Community Theater), Olya Scheel, Adam Ackerman and Jamie Sciarrio entered the KPBX studio to chat with E.J. Iannelli about the show.

Scheel and Ackerman are playing Anna and Hans, respectively, in Frozen, Jr., and Sciarrio is directing. Sciarrio is also the board president of CDA ACT, an organization that aims to provide adults with physical and/or developmental disabilities the experience of participating in live theater.

The actors talked about their roles, their previous acting experience and the fun they were having with participating in Frozen, Jr. Sciarrio explained the mission of CDA ACT and how its volunteers support the actors onstage. The three also performed a short scene from the production.

CDA ACT’s production of Disney’s Frozen, Jr. opens this Friday, October 28 at the Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene and runs until Saturday, November 5, 2022. Tickets, showtimes and more information are available at the CDA ACT website.
