Frontwoman for the contemporary bluegrass band discusses their high-energy live shows

On this pre-recorded From the Studio interview, Pixie & The Partygrass Boys frontwoman Katia Racine talks by phone with E.J. Iannelli about her band's music and their upcoming concert alongside the bands Sicard Hollow and the Sweet Lillies at Spokane's Lucky You Lounge this weekend.

Racine recounts the festive origins of Pixie & The Partygrass Boys and explains how they've worked to capture their fiery live performances on their recordings. She also talks about their forthcoming album of covers and their interplay with musicians from tourmates Sicard Hollow and Sweet Lillies.

The songs “Flames,” "Home" and “Paint You a Face” from their 2021 full-length album Snake Creek are featured in the interview.

Pixie & The Partygrass Boys performs this Sunday (Mar. 26) at the Lucky You Lounge as part of a hat-trick lineup that includes Sicard Hollow and the Sweet Lillies.

Tickets and more information about the concert are available at the Lucky You Lounge website. More info on Pixie & The Partygrass Boys, including streaming music and video, is at the band's website.
