Volunteer

Spokane Public Radio offers individuals the opportunity to learn about and contribute to the making of public radio through volunteer activities and community internships. SPR volunteers are unique in that they care deeply about public radio in our region, and seek opportunities to be involved that directly allow KPBX, KSFC, and KPBZ to thrive and provide programs and events to our listening communities. For the Volunteer Opportunities listed below, contact Stephanie Ingoldby, volunteer manager, (509) 328-5729 / singoldby@kpbx.org or return this form to KPBX.

Poster, Flyer, and Guide Distribution Have you seen The Guide, Kids' Concert fliers, and event posters around at area businesses and schools? Volunteers are the ones who either count and pack them up, or deliver them to businesses in a specific area. If you HAVEN'T seen them in your area, then we need you! If you have a place we should display our posters, please send us an email and tell us where.  Occasionally, we also need volunteers to fill in on some of our established routes.

Emergency Receptionist Fill in for our usual receptionists by answering phones, data entry, and filing (weekdays only).  Minimal training required?Events Help with set-up, decorating, taking tickets, ushering, and other fun activities like the Free KPBX Kids' Concerts or our annual Recordings & Videos Sale.

Membership Mailings Join other volunteers for lively discussion while helping stuff and sort mailings for one of our monthly or bimonthly mailings (weekdays only).

Pledge Drive Activities Answer pledge calls, tally up the number and amount of pledges, record a testimonial for use on-air, etc.

Production, News, and Marketing Assignments Community members can gain valuable work and personal experience in some of the technical applications of the radio station. Although not affiliated with learning institutions and programs, these volunteer jobs mirror the descriptions attached to the production, marketing, and news internships.

If interested in volunteering, please fill out this form and return it to Stephanie Ingoldby at singoldby@kpbx.org or 1229 N Monroe St, Spokane, WA 99201
