1-4 PM - Crafts, Kids Games, Japanese Snacks, Open House
4 PM - Buddhist Service
4:30 PM – Karate, Kendo & Taiko Demos
5:30 PM - Bon Odori Japanese folk dancing
Obon is a time to honor our ancestors with gratitude and joyful remembrance, and enjoy delicious Japanese snacks, traditional crafts, and Bon Odori – a communal dance. Whether you are remembering a loved one, learning about Buddhist traditions, or simply curious about Japanese culture, everyone is welcome. No dance experience is needed – just follow along and feel the rhythm. All proceeds support the temple.
