Spokane Audubon program on bird rescue work

Spokane Audubon program on bird rescue work

Audubon Save-A-Bird team volunteers respond to requests from the public for help with injured, sick, or vulnerable birds in the Spokane County area. Team co-chair, SAS board member, and retired USDA Forest Service wildlife biologist. Mike Borysewicz will present an update on this 4year-old effort. Last year volunteers responded to 370 incidents, mostly providing self-help advice but 90 cases requiring bird captures and transports to wildlife rehabilitators and cooperating veterinarians. Program is also available online via Zoom link at www.audubonspokane,org.
