The Spokane Folklore Society hosts its First Wednesday contra dance on Wednesday February 4 at the Woman's Club Hall starting at 7:15PM with a newcomer session followed by a two hour dance. Penn Fix will call and teach easy to learn contra dances (see www.spokanefolklore.org for more info on contra dancing) and the Prestwold Players will play jigs and reels. All are welcome including couples and singles. No experience is necessary since every dance is taught ahead of time. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Admission is $10 and for SFS members and college students $7. Kids under 18 are free.
